Hanif Kureshi (29) is an art director/graphic designer who studied Fine Arts at M.S. University of Baroda.
He has worked at Ogilvy & Mather’s offices in Delhi and Mumbai and is currently a senior creative with Wieden+Kennedy, Delhi. Kureshi is fascinated with typography and started handpaintedtype.com, a project to preserve and digitize the country's myriad street painters' styles.
His work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale (2011), Centre Pompidou, Paris (2011), Design Helps in Helsinki, Finland (2012) among others. Kureshi has been a speaker at global design events such as TypoBerlin (2012) and Atypl in Iceland (2011). He has won international and national awards for his various projects. Apart from advertising and typography, Kureshi also practices street art and his creations can be seen around Delhi.
